Georgia on my mind

The Georgia Senate passed new legislation this week prohibiting involuntary implantation of microchips in any body part regardless of the person's age. The Senate voted 47-2 in favor of the bill.

It is sponsored by Republican State Senator Chip Pearson(Dawsonville, Ga). "This is simply to try to get ahead and protect under our state constitution our rights as people first," Pearson said. "We implant cattle and dogs, and that's fine. I just don't think implanting someone against their will is something that should be allowed."

Pearson said he is not aware of any microchips being involuntary implanted in people right now, so Democratic Senator Ronald Ramsey questioned the need for the bill.

What's next? A resolution banning zombies from eating your brains? I wonder if this really is as dumb as it sounds or is there some backstory I am missing? Don't we have more serious issues that we need to work on right now? But since they took the time...It also makes me wonder who would vote against this? I need the names of those two Senators! Or maybe they were just voting against it because it was stupid!

In searching for more information on this story I came accross these STUPID laws that are already in place in Georgia...

It is illegal to use profanity in front of a dead body which lies in a funeral home or in a coroners office

No one may carry an ice cream cone in their back pocket if it is Sunday.

All sex toys are banned(oh shit...if you are reading this...I got rid of all of mine...I PROMISE!)

Chicken must be eaten with the hands(Gainesville, Ga)...Yep, this is the city in which I live...I'm so proud!

It is illegal to say "Oh, Boy."(Jonesboro, Ga)
One may not place a dead bird on a neighbor's lawn(Conyers, Ga)

It is illegal to carry a chicken by it's feet down Broadway on Sunday(Columbus,Ga)

Can't cut off a chicken's head on Sunday. (Columbus,Ga)

It is against the law to tie a giraffe to a telephone pole or street lamp. (Atlanta,Ga)

One man may not be on another man's back. (Atlanta,Ga)

All citizens must own a rake. (Acworth,Ga)

Ugh,
Bob Out
