shopping & spicy regrets...

Gosh I was so tired yesterday so I didn't have any power left to update. I needed to be charged; and that by sleep =.=. But hey, who can blame me ?! Auntie Jessica put us in JB's Jusco and there we were stranded (?) until they closed, haha xD; meaning til 10.30 pm. and we arrived 01.30 pm. so after walking around for 9 hours in a shopping mall isn't really a hard thing to do for our family but you get tired when you finally gets home, especially when you walk around in heels, haha...but they didn't hurt a bit ! They just gave me tired feet...oooohh love those heels haha x).

Maybe we walked around at first but of course we couldn't miss this big shopping opportunity so...
Esprit - shop (mummy)
Calvin Klein - shop (mummy and sis, and hey it wasale I tried 5 jeans for like 30 min but I was a good girl enough not to buy anything xD)
Guess - shop ( me...hehe...3 tops...)
Jusco - shop (sis)
Then we went to eat dinner...OMG that keow teow goreng was SPICY !!! I'm proud that I finished the whole plate x) but the burningon my tongue and the Angeline Jolie lips I got later was...worse than wasabi !!! hahaha...and then I got the worst tummy ache :(, still hurts today...

So how much did we burn this day; and I don't mean calories, haha...around RM 660...my Guess tops were already RM 347 but I only paid RM 139 because sis paid one as my B-day gift and mummy did the same...still have shopping regrets though because the exchange rate yesterday was HIGH !!! RM 1 = SEK 2.50 when we checked before we left to M'sia it was RM i = SEK 1.80...so do the maths and see why I have regrets for yesterday, great buys but we chose the worst day to shop on =.=...

What is going on??!!

Katie Hoff just set a new world record in the same event as Phelps, the 400 IM! I'm freaking out here, hollering at the TV, eyes watering...oh man, I'm gonna be a mess for the Olympics I can feel it. The Americans have spoken, they are going with one goal and that's to win. Katie I believe is trying out for the same amount of events as Phelps, Michael is trying to be the most decorated Olympian ever and it looks like Katie could do the same thing. Can you imagine? If Phelps and Hoff actually accomplish that? Oh man...I got goosebumps just thinking about it. ;) peace

Katie

Olympic Trials 2008

I am an Olympic NUT every 4 years. I hole up in my room and just disappear during the Olympics. Well the trials are on and Michael Phelps just beat his own world record in the TRIALS! He is amazing and Ryan Lochte is no slouch either, he came in second as he did against Phelps in Athens. Really, together they are the one to beat come Beijing. Not to mention they're both hot. ;) peace

Michael

in Johor Bahru then...

Updating from auntie Jessicas beautiful condo in Johor Bahru. (Came here last night after spending a couple of hours in the PJ condo waiting for Isabell, Kenny, Jonathan and uncle Paul to come back from a newer ending food break. So when they at last came back, Isabell and the maid and us and one old lady which was auntie Jess friend squeezed in to the car and our "roadtrip could begin, haha...)

Just got home from one of those dinners or it was a Christian (!) dinners because auntie Jess is Christian mah...anyway it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be because I sat beside a guy and his brother and we had quite much to talk about suprisingly :P; everything from Singapore hotspots to football, haha...so the company was good :) but the "did you give him your number ?!" afterwards was just ennoying, haha...and no I didn't give him my number because, well because x)...

Soon having some cupcakes, apple-pie and coffee with auntie Jess, mummy and sis in this cosy little livingroom xD. See what happens tomorrow, hopefully we go shopping :P.

ACLU, Big Brother is watching....

...this is scary...could happen huh? The ACLU put this video out, crazy and freaky!!

back...right now at least

Hey ya'll x). Feels great to be back to blogging, even if it might just be for today...now I have been here for what, 1 week and 4 almost 5 days and I've been a very nice girl; staying at home and watching TV with grandpha all day long except when I am playing with my cousin Min-Yik who's 5 so a couple of hours with him is enough, haha...I really can't do small kids or kids at all, so don't ask me to babysit any children, I will run away as far as I can I tell you...

The (short) time I've been here I have already realized that some people isn't going to change - ever. And those people are quite close to me. I also realized that sometimes when I see other people I want to trade life with them just for a day so I can do stuff I otherwise can't but in the end step back to reality and find myself very lucky...

So the past time I spent here is still better than what i sometimes wish for ? Well, you can't rely on dreams all the time I realized because dreaming ain't going to get you anywhere and if we return to the "me being a nice girl" I have only bought 2 things so far :P. Panties and a PINK top from Klang Parade from Thailand for only RM 10 xD a true catch !!! Tomorrow I will go down to PJ and then I am off to JB x) See if I can get any further updates down there. ;)...

// Take care all my readers and don't forget to dream but still keep reality close

I kissed a boy...

...and I liked it! LOL...found this while perusing over at Boy Culture and it's hilarious! It's a parody of Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" song. Which if you scroll down I do believe it's posted. Enjoy...oh..umm...language may be a little coarse for some. FYI.

Kathy Griffin Straight to Hell

I love her, I do, she's like the new Cho but less angry. ;)

Outsports

Does anyone read Outsports? I like sports...and I'm out...so ya know...just makes sense to me sign up for their newsletter. Well the Olympics are starting and I'm excited because there may be some gay athletes competing this year! Well at least we have one openly gay swimmer who will be competing in the trials! His name is Andrew Langenfeld and of course he's hot. You can check out the Outsports article here
He also started a Facebook group for out high school and college athletes which you can view here. Of course I had to post a pic (hope he doesn't mind) here's to our gay Olympic hopefuls! ;) peace

Jesse McCartney...

...ok I remember hearing this name a few years ago. I'm not sure why or from what, was he on TV? I keep thinking the OC or something like that, in ANY case, I heard this song and I really liked it. So I get home and Google it awhile ago and I was like wow...hottie! I guess he had a song a few years back but it doesn't ring a bell with me. This song, I like...and he's like 21 so it's all good. :) I'm not like a twink person (regardless of most of my posts! hey it's hard to find sexy hairy older guys on the 'net...or maybe I'm not looking in the right places) ;)
Here is his latest vid...I like the song...he's not hard on the eyes either. ;) peace

waiting for mummy...

First some pics of my new hair =P. You know you love it but if you don´t, who cares - cause I do x)

Walked for over 2 ½ hours today. Long story but stupid ? - yes. It was raining all day and aaahh, don´t want to talk about it, sis and I are tiiiireeeed but at least we walked more than 14 000 steps =)...and that was the only good thing about this walk and the company of course ~lovely sis x)~

Soon mummy is coming home from the boat trip she did with work and we´re going to start packing and hmmm, let´s see how we´ll manage this pile of chocolate - but there is no need to worry, mummy will find a solution like always...it´s not that much la...just like she told me the other day...=)

busy AND exhaused =.=

I really and I mean really underestimated the power of doing laundry. God, even today I´m still exhausted but on the other hand I helped mummy for 5 hours; to sort out, wash, fold and being the errand girl at the same time and I am or was now, a laundry virgin, hahaha...:P I think I did pretty good even though I can´t be sure mummy would agree.

Oooh and I or mummy colored my hair again ! xD I love it, it looks like Leila´s - a Swedish cook. So I went from brunette to honey-blonde again on Wednesday night x)...unfortunately I don´t have any photos because I´ve been really busy these few days =.=...Here is Leila´s hair instead...

OK, soon I´m gonna go help (?) mummy with wrap up all the chocolate we´re bringing to Malaysia on Sunday x).

football is the shit xD

Sushi and Chinese food at one of my favourite spots East City with some really good company can´t make a better "first day of the summer holiday" x). Discussing future life, the school we just left and OF COURSE the European cup in football we played yesterday against Greece !

Which we won :D 2-0 to Sweden !!! Greece must be crying but what the hell xD. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back, scoring our first goal and God I was jumping !!! He hasn´t scored for Sweden in 3 years (just playing his best when he´s not playing for the country =.=) but yesterday he made SWE cry of happiness and relief - we are really a football country :P. The second goal Petter Hansson made "The ugly goal" they call it, haha...Zlatan did the "dreamgoal" and I hope he will repeat it.

NBA Finals...

..tonight is game 3 between the Celtics and the Lakers, I hate the Lakers so I'm rooting for Boston. I don't care if the Hollywood studios have to cater to their schedule so Jack Nicholson can be at every home game. Although they have two bench players that have been playing more minutes and they are hot! I won't tell you who they are though, you may want to watch and then you'll become a Lakers fan and I will not have that on my conscience. There's like 4 minutes left and Lakers are ahead by 6 points and Garnett isn't doing what he do!!

I just saw a Honda Pilot commercial, it gets 23 mpg on the highway, why do I not feel like that is good? I get 27 mpg and my car is like 9 years old. Hmmm...

4 point game, Lakers. 3:00 on the clock. This is when it gets tense! DAMMIT DAMMIT! 5 point game now.

The commentators are saying that at this point Bryant needs to have the ball, I don't like him either.

I miss my dad, he's in Colorado at the moment on vacation and we normally watch the
Finals together. If I have time I watch all season, depending on my job. If not, then I just watch the finals and dad gives me all the latest stats and news on the players. I hope he is watching now, he doesn't like the Lakers either.

Unfortunately Bryant is hot tonight (not like that, he's playing well!) and that is not good news. Bryant is wearing a purple wristband, I wear a purple wristband. Mine is from the Matthew Shepard foundation to Erase Hate. You think he is wearing the same one? Hmm...what other purple wristbands are out there?

Lakers won, I'm sad. Later. ;) peace

ready

Ready. Just sitting here in my green dress I wore in Stockholm on Saturday. Who cares if you wear the same dress twice ? We are just there to say goodbye to everyone and by the way; no one saw this green dress of mine here in Uppsala. 30 min left before I´m off to go...lalalala...God I really can´t believe that it´s my graduation from junior high school or here in SWE we say högstadiet (year 7-9). Thought I would feel happier, but I don´t feel anything really, haha...

Here is something you can laugh about, haha :P. When we just started year 8 at Vaksalaskolan. Recognize me ? The lady in red x)...old pictures are priceless...

Today's Weather...

...was HOT! Ugh! To make it worse our AC is out...well not out, the unit works but the fan to blow the cool air to our rooms, is out. Sucks. Going back to moms soon, she has AC! So when the weather is HOT, you knnnoooowww...we gotta have Hot guys to look at be thankful for the heat!! ;) peace

last day

Last day in school. I mean tomorrow can´t count because it´s just class quality time, lunch and then church - where we will get our final grades. Start at 11.45 am. and won´t be finish before 03.30 pm. =.=...really sucks though. I mean the last day and we finish so late, but it´s the last day so I am not going to argue about it either...

In the morning we had some cozy time with Jérémie and we all (or almost all girls =.=) brought cakes, muffins etc. that would represent our nationalities, so I brought those kind of rice crackers LOL - Chinese enough, huh ? :P Those guys are so boring, it was like only 2 that brought something and I don´t think that they forgot, because they had been reminded several times, I think that they are feeling; I don´t know "foolish" or "ridiculous" for bringing or baking something that is more of a "girl thing to do". The most foolish or ridiculous people then are only themselves. Come on guys ! There are lots of things you can be ashamed of but bringing pastries and cakes !!!??? Please don´t be because it will only gain you something and this is why (according to me);
#1 It shows that You are not afraid of doing things different from other people.
#2 Bringing something that we agreed about bringing shows that even though You are not used to do this kinds of things; You can be trustful.
#3 You show everyone what kind of person You are. You are not just there to eat at other peoples efforts, You stand for giving and receiving and just tell me; which girl doesn´t fall for that !?
(#4 You get to show everyone what you can do in the kitchen and we all know that guys that can cook are HOT but guys that can bake...!!! I need some water (and some more cake) please ! x))

Also gave Ã…sa and Jérémie some Lindt chocolate and of course I, or me and Ã…sa got into the ugly cry but it was worth it :P. Eva-Britt doesn´t work on Mondays so I´ll give her gift tomorrow...

Saturday full of food

Free food is never bad x). Especially not at the Malaysian embassy here in Stockholm. Maybe there wasn´t any satay this time, nor roti canai but so much other kind of food like; 3 kinds of char mee and char bee hoon, curry puffs, 2 kinds of kuih (that was gone as fast as it reached the table), some kind of cake, egg and shellfish minicakes, watermelons, grapes, a whole fridge filled with different kinds of ice-cream and they even flew in kebab from Turkey ! So, I can´t exactly say that I was disappointed, hahaha...

In August 31st when it´s Malaysia´s national day, they will have this kind of event again I think...and without any doubt; I am going ! Hahahahaha...xD

Muti: Chicago "musical judgement"

Ricardo Muti was a major influence on my education and young growth as a musician. My time at Westminster provided opportunities to sing with him on the podium. Memories from Pavarotti and Pagliacci, Carol Vaness and the Te Deum in Tosca, a Mozart Requiem with Simon Estes, that changed my life.., and Va Pensiero.. What can I say about the opportunity to sing on the stage of the Academy of music, to interact with Maestro Muti on campus at WCC in Princeton. I was awed by his presence and the power that emanated from his persona. Was he opinionated, sometimes arrogant, probably ego driven.. of course. He also delivered the goods.

I always wondered what he was like in private, how he might work with students 1x1, with soloists in private rehearsals. Alas, from my perch here in Richmond, I may not get much experience to "judge" him anew in Chicago.. no worries there. My opinion is firmly set. Passion, followed by Discipline.. then Application.. much of that comes to me, from the likes of Riccardo Muti and his time in Philadelphia. What a privilege to have learned what he may not even realized he was teaching..

Musicians should of course be judged by their music, but they should also be judged by how they build and support the musical communities around them. Elite, but not elitist.. should be the goal.

Muti's committment here to building community is impressive. I don't recollect stories about that in Philadelphia or at La Scala.. Did the communities flourish when he was in charge? I was fortunate, I don't really know about others in the Philladelphia area. This is a new Muti for me, and I am a huge fan of his passion, artistry and willingness to seek greatness..

It is not enough to be great... a musicians' art must be judged by their ability to encourage artistic sparks around them. Great musicians are like sparks and kindling to a flame. They start a fire, then encourage it to a mature, living thing. Finally, only masters are able to sustain that energy due to the community and support they have built.

Buon Fortuna Maestro.. Grazie!

where did it come from ???

I have a BIG bruise on my right knee cap =.=. Don´t know how it got there, don´t know when it will disappear. Just perfect, huh ?! When it´s 30 °C outside and I have to bare my legs with a big purple/blue brusie on my leg...just perfect...

Maybe I have to buy this plaster sis and I found yesterday when we were out grocery shopping. Haha, so adorable but I can bet SEK 100 that my godmother already got this. That Hello Kitty freak x).

Heading to BBQ dinner at aunty Katherine soon, so better get ready CIAO CIAO !

Volunteering...

...okay as most know I am currently looking for work and well, I'm getting bored!! Seriously, I am going insane and just numb from lack of doing anything. Yes I do search and send out resumes and do follow up calls and all that but that's not an all day thing. So I thought, instead of sitting here waiting for the celly to ring, why not volunteer? I found a great website named Volunteer Match and I already sent a request for a couple of opportunities. Both are in the kitchen, one is in a shelter and one is in a not for profit hospital. I don't eat food but I love to watch the food network and I would love to go to culinary school, so I thought okay why not in a kitchen. Sure it may not be gourmet but I could pick something up and help others while I'm at. I've volunteered before serving food in homeless shelters and it's really uplifting because that may be the persons only meal that day and if they see a smiling face and a positive attitude behind the counter than I hope it's an even better experience for them. So who knows, at least it'll get me out of the house and interacting with people (which we all know I didn't really do for a year working for Intel). I'm excited and yes you would think with all this free time I would have more time to post hot guys with beautiful eyes and hairy thighs...and I will. I've been cleaning up my hard drive and have nice stuff coming soon! ;) peace

life is GOOD right now

Sara and Lukas
Länna
Erik working on his tan, even though he is really really BROWN already, haha...
Hehe, I got some color anyhow...=.= but my new sunglasses kept my eyes safe from the sun, so that gives me +points...right ?

Hippihippi heyhey, finally I get to sit down and just feel GOOD. Haha, even though I had to hike throughout the woods and I got like 5 mosquito bites on the cheeks, ears and neck (!) when Alexander, Emilia, Katrina and I were on the way home (we could had taken the "normal" road back but they wanted more adventure =.=, but singing the Indiana Jones theme song while we mastered the obstacles wasn´t too bad x)...so it was a GOOD trip I must admit and I learned how to barbeque marshmallows and "papapapapa I´m lovin it !".

Oooh and before we went to Länna I finished my painting...Kari (my art teacher) was really content and I have an A in art xD. So it´s all GOOD.

Another GOOD thing is that just when we got to Länna my godfather text me from Taiwan, where he is now, starting his own business and he asked me if I had any plans for the summer. Well, I am going to Malaysia that´s for sure but HELLO ! TAIwAn is calling maybe...because I remembered that before he left he told me that maybe he needed some help and when I said I could fill in he said that it wasn´t a bad idea xD. So what does that mean ? Have no idea, but I talked to mummy and she was totally fine by me leaving Malaysia maybe a week or something for Taiwan...but I shouldn´t make any drastic planning or expectatations because I don´t even know if it´s really what he is planning - summer in Taiwan ???

Katy Perry

Hmm...I wonder if she is gay? In any case I love this song, if you got headphones or really good PC speakers turn it up!! It's called I kissed a Girl, the next video is good also called Ur so Gay. She has a great voice and I love how she ends the second song! LOL Happy Hump Day. ;) peace

almost everything on my mind, hehehe

Have quite much to say right now, so enjoy or skip it, wahahahahaha :P

Had my last english lesson today - WAAAAAHUHUHUHUHUHU ;( ! Not funny at all...Ã…sa was the sweetest ever; buying us brownies and ice-cream and she told us that we were the best class ever and she really meant it because she was on the way of bursting...me too...

To better news; after I gave mummy footmassage, LOL (delayed Mother´s day promise) we realized that we had no dinner, or we had but we didn´t have any vegetables but luckily my Super-mum found some white cabbage and she did fried rice with teriyaki chicken, onions and the cabbage. Piece a cake and delicious like...cake, hahahaha...xD

Then we have my class trip I was talking about earlier. - Camping in Fjällnora to refresh your memory. Well not anymore. Fjällnora was already booked up so we tried with someplace called Bälinge but that was just a phase we were going through, haha. We ended up with Länna...but no camping though - so happy ! It´s going to be just over the day. Some bathing, tanning (not for me ! Got to try staying white before Malaysia and I don´t want to get cancer ! :P), eating and just chilling before we all go our own ways...

Starting at 09.20 am. tomorrow instead of 11.10 am. because I have to finish my painting in art =.=...sucks because those "shadows" will never become the shadows I want them to be...after art class - hitting for Länna.

Looking at Gossip Girl now x)...really, really good soooo ciao ciao !

Classical artists - double agents?

What exactly is the business/career path for a performing classical artist in today's world?
How big is the market? How many middlemen take a cut? Is it possible to have a career and a reasonably balanced life without mega-stardom?

The Manager as a Double Agent in the Wall street journal is an interesting read.

Answering questions about artistic integrity and direction versus actually building a stable "business" model for a performing artist as both the artist and the business.. should be required for all music students. Education associated with performing is the typical middle ground.

Perhaps, the degradation of the international market for recording classical music isn't such a loss. if the music can be performed live in smaller regional and local communities, then perhaps the evolution of large scale markets driving local investment could work..

Who is going to ensure the mega market cares about the local markets? Why would they care when in the short term it is all about the money.

I suspect that few musicians have this level of business savvy, so we do need managers. Hmmm.. I guess it comes back to trusting people, and then marketing our art, for consumption by consumers who may or may not be able to value it..

not a new problem, but I don't think mega consolidation and large scale corporate management is a fix.

Seems to me, success will be about Artists learning to engaged and assist other artists' without requiring everyone to come to NY and sing at the Met to be considered successful. We have to evolve and find creative ways to engage our communities more effectively to build a self perpetuating model..

perhaps, classical artists need to be more local.. and local communities need to be more local themselves.. ouch. Reality is that the grass is always greener somewhere else. People just operate that way.

Somebody somewhere else, MUST be doing this better...

I am soooo bored!

Have a couple of interviews set up for later in the week but other than nothing else going on. I've cleaned my room and packed up the rest of my stuff, going to moms on Thursday. That's it, that's all I got. Oh and I've watched the whole first season of Entourage on HBO on Demand. It's pretty good and that Grenier guy is hot! Now I'm watching Anna and the King, I've never heard of it but it has Jodie Foster in it so yeah, I gotta watch it. Also has Chow Yun Fat, I think he is so handsome. I think I'm gonna have to read the book next. It's almost over and then it's time for a walk with my trusty iPod. Our house backs up to tech school, I think they teach people how to work on cars or semi's or something. Anyways a lot of hot guys coming in and out of the parking lot all day, well a couple of them have these loud annoying motorcycles. I can sit on my bed and look at the parking lot (which I do) and well as annoying as the motorcycles are, the guys are worth it. So, while watching Anna and the King, I found these! Hope everyone has a great week! ;) peace

2 weeks left...

It´s like I can´t even believe it myself but it´s fact. Exactly 2 weeks from now I´m in Malaysia.

"Institutionalized Community"

Who sets the rules for your community? Organized institutions have to have rules, I get that and I agree, but the "rule setting" part always seems to be where the rub comes in.

We all need a group, we to varying degrees are willing to change to gain the value of the support. We seek to change and innovate, but we aren't willing to accept diversity of idea and action.

Church is an institutionalized community quite literally by design. As I write that, I get a bad feeling. Not sure why, but I do all the same. "Institutionalized community feels sterile, structured, and inherently impersonal. Those things tend to be the antithesis of alive in the spirit, innovative, and overflowing with love.

The bad feeling is that I am contributing to exactly what I fear. How do others outside of my "circle" view me. In my zest for action and results, I have trouble fully embracing the diversity and elegance of thought surrounding me in so many channels.

When we take control, we steer the ship towards the middle, and wallah.. like magic, what we invariably breed is mediocrity of the masses. How do we include and value everyone and still seek excellence? Tall order.. if I figure this one out, I'll write more.. for now, I am befuzzled with my own thinking.

God, who gets invited to dinner at your place? How do we get on your guest list? "Don't hurt your friend, don't blame your neighbor; despise the despicable. "Keep your word even when it costs you, make an honest living, never take a bribe "You'll never get blacklisted if you live like this."

"Walk straight, act right, tell the truth. --- Psalm 15 (The Message)
